The Poblenou Energy Community Association (CEP9) was created in July 2023, with the aim of continuing and growing the shared self-consumption project launched in 2021 thanks to the collaboration of the City Council of Barcelona, the Association of Neighbors and Neighbors of Poblenou, the 4 Cantons Institute and its Student Families Association.

Currently, the CEP9 has a photovoltaic generation installation on the roof of the Institute which is shared between different users: the Quatre Cantons Institute itself, municipal buildings such as the Can Felipa Civic Center and social services, the park Bombers de Llevant, the Maria Espinalt Institute and 30 coexistence units (private), but it wants to extend to more roofs and facilities to provide service to a larger neighborhood, ac...company it in its energy empowerment and among all be able to access more services.
